Our History
Eight Decades of Answering the Call
In 1945, a group of Palmerton neighbors came together with a simple but powerful belief: that every person in their community deserved fast, skilled emergency care — regardless of where they lived or what they could afford.
What began as a small community effort with a single vehicle has grown into a fully paid, professional emergency medical service, responding to thousands of calls each year across Carbon County.
Through floods, blizzards, and the quiet emergencies of everyday life, our crews have never stopped showing up. That commitment — neighbor helping neighbor — is as strong today as it was in 1945.
